Thanks for sharing that with us, KC. Yes, they area beautiful breed and I'm glad that I own one. Never thought I would but my husband persuaded me and I'm so glad that he did. I was so wrong about them before. Now I have to convince my parents, which I doubt would ever happened.

wow KC that is really a funny story....I have never had the pleasure of owning a pit bull ...yet...but when I see them they are such beautiful dogs..the way they move and the smiles on their faces....such a misunderstood breed...this is such a great site and wonderful that there are so many people willing to help and stand up for them...me being one of them...

Thanx for the invite. I love to help the pits whenever there is a transport for them. My most interesting experience was transporting 3 pit bulls across town. Simple, you say? Uh, no! One male was so exuberant he thought he could drive and I had to stop more than once to put him back in the back. At one point, I had to stop in the middle of the street because he nearly hanged himself in his efforts to drive! Once on the interstate, I hoped he would settle down. Not going to happen! I noticed his tongue turning blue - from his efforts continuously trying to get to his sister (not for play. He wasn't neutered) since I wouldn't let him drive, and he had wrapped the leash around his neck numerous times! Amazingly, I was able to jump across three lanes to get to the side of the interstate to untangle him before he passed out! He was so goofy, he had me continually laughing, except for the near strangulation which he didn't seem to notice! A simple 30 minute trip turned into an hour long adventure!! They are such clowns; another misunderstood breed. I applaud your efforts, Dan, in promoting how wonderful they are.

Glad to be in the company of sane people - or at least those who know how great these dogs really are!! ;-) Please do what you can in your towns to fight BSL - it's killing thousands of innocent dogs. In Denver, www.denverkillsdogs.com. Speak up for these dogs - they need a voice!! Thx!
